Calling Hours for Judie Scott today

Long-time Resident, Ace employee remembered.

Calling hours for Judie Scott will be held at Carmen Funeral Home in Avon today, Monday, Nov. 7, 2011.

Scott, 72, was a long-time resident and worked at for numerous years.

Scott was the first person to welcome resident Amy Miller to town when she and her family moved here in 1998. Miller said Scott loved to see her daughter Jenna and later, her younger son Josh, on Halloween and at Ace.

"She never forgot the small things we all take for granted, like stopping to give the kids a hug or tell my son how she loved his curly blonde hair," Miller said. "I honestly believe she treasured the small moments every dingle day."

"I heard about her passing in the midst of this crazy snowstorm week and I took a moment to stop and say a prayer for her," Miller added. "Godspeed, Judie, Godspeed. I will miss you and will see you again someday."

Details on the calling hours and service for Scott can be found in her obituary

Judy was the nicest lady I had the pleasure to know! She was always so kind and personable. Any time I went to Ace, she would always have a warming hello and ask about my family and myself. She would always tell me how she loved my father and thought he was so funny and sweet, and after his passing, it was so nice to hear, she was so thoughtful and had such kind words about him when we'd talk. She will be and is so missed by myself, and I am sure by so many others. She is with her loved ones now, and All the angels that have gone before her. I sure hope my father was one of those to greet her Home. With Sincere sympathy, ~ Linda (Lewis) Betances
