Audrey (Smith) DiPinto, 77

 Audrey (Smith) DiPinto, 77, a third generation Collinsville resident, loving wife for 58 years of Anthony J. DiPinto, passed peacefuly away Monday (October 28, 2103) surrounded by family and friends.

She was born in Binghamton, NY on June 28, 1936 to the late Clinton T. and Marjorie Smith. Raised in Canton, she graduated from Canton High School in 1954. For many years, she was employed at Sage Allen in Canton and drove a school bus for Canton Public Schools, a job she thoroughly enjoyed seeing the children every day.

Audrey was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Collinsville.  An active member of her community, she was a member of the DAR, worked on and helped design the Canton Veteran’s Memorial with her husband, and volunteered at Canton Historical Society. Besides her husband, Anthony, she leaves her son, Michael J. Di Pinto of Collinsville; her daughter, Toni D. Bidwell and her husband Clayton of Bloomfield; two grandchildren, Aaron A. DiPinto and Nicole Katlyn DiPinto; sister, Beverly Sewell of Greenville, SC; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother E. Paul Smith. 

A Memorial Service will be heldSaturday, November 2, 1 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 55 River Road, Collinsville. The Rev. Linda Spiers will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Village Cemetery. There are no calling hours.  Memorial donations may be made to Canton Dollars for Scholars, PO Box 671, Canton, CT 06019 for a scholarship in her name. Carmon Funeral Home & Family Center of Avon is caring for the arrangements.
