If your American Flag is tattered and worn, then join Senator Kevin Witkos as he will help collect the flags. The flags will be collected Saturday, June 2, at the Canton Transfer Station, 202 Ramp Road from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.; Avon Transfer Station, 281 Huckleberry Hill Road from 10:30 to noon; and Simsbury Transfer Station, 66 Wolcott Road from 12:30 to 2 p.m.
Sen Kevin Witkos will collect tattered and torn flags for proper retirement. The worn and tattered flags will be given to the American Legion for proper retirement at a Flag Day ceremony.
