Why are you seeking office?     

I feel that I can make a difference through my commitment in maintaining excellence in education while ensuring that every dollar is spent wisely.  I also bring the understanding of the Canton Public School educational experience from extensive leadership and involvement as a volunteer.  I also feel that I am an effective communicator who seeks to give Canton School Parents “a voice”

What experience do you bring to the table?

Currently I am the CO-VP for the CIS PTO, Past coordinator Spirtit Wear at CBPS; Past coordinator, Paul Cryan Photo Day at CBPS; extensive volunteering in schools/classroom/district committees; dedicated supporter of numerous activities including Book Fairs, Boo Bash, Children's Fair, Room Parent Orientation.

What do you feel is the town's most pressing issue?

PRIORITIES FOR THE SCHOOL BOARD:

Fiscal Responsibilities - We need to consider economy and efficiency in our school district.  In maximizing our resources, in technology, quality instruction and programs should not be compromised.

Class Consistency -Our school district should have clearly defined standards and expectations in all classes, regardless of teacher or building.  Consistency across our classrooms and schools are necessary for effective common assessments.

Technology -Technology can be utilized for better communication with students and parents.  Curriculum should be adapted to better integrate technology into school instruction.                
                                              
What do you love most about town?
I have lived in Canton for almost 15 years and I love the tightness this community offers.  I love the dedication that teachers, coaches and volunteers provide to our student town body.  I feel very lucky to be a resident in this town.

What do you like to do for fun?
I love to spend time with my family, biking, cooking on the weekends and a good book
