Evening Yin Yoga Balancing Workshop for Autumn

Join this autumn evening yin class designed for all levels. Yin yoga is a deeply restorative practice that opens thousands of pathways in the body, encouraging energy to move with freedom internally and within the connective tissue which for many of us is restricted and at times the crux of chronic tightness and restriction.  We will be working with the lung and large intestine meridians encouraging healthy lungs while stoking the digestive fire in the large intestines. As Fall settles into the bones we are often find ourselves stiffer, colder with our digestive fire slows down. Common imbalances occurring with the change of seasons are feeling run down, the common cold, sluggish digestive fire and insomnia. Our class will help restore your sense of balance after the summer's heat with gentle backbends, twists and hip openers.  These longer held seated postures will be gently aligning and awakening our energies, a longer supported savasana and guided meditation will soothe any residual tensions.
