December Drop-In Story Time: Cookies!

The first in our series of December drop-in storytimes, this one will feature the Cookie Monster! Youngsters will hear the book Cookies: Bite Size Life Lessons, by Amy Krouse Rosenthal and have cookies as a special treat. Cookies: Bite Size Life Lessons uses the activity of making and eating cookies to teach concepts such as patience, cooperation, respect, contentment, modesty and regret. The tales are told using multi-ethnic characters and animal friends.

Youngsters will hear stories, sing songs, watch a short movie, and do a craft with children’s librarian Heather Baker.  The story times are free and for children ages 2 and up with a parent/caregiver; no registration is necessary.  If school is canceled, story time is canceled as well.  Canton Public Library is at 40 Dyer Avenue, Canton.  For information:  (860) 693-5800 or www.cantonpubliclibrary.org
