“A Look at E-Readers” at Canton Public Library

E-reader sales always spike over the holidays: they’re a perfect gift for anyone who loves to read.  But what kind should you buy?  On Tuesday, November 13 at 7:00 PM, Sarah McCusker, Head of Technical Services at the Canton Public Library, will hold an informational session about e-readers and tablets.

Sarah will talk about the growing popularity of e-readers and tablets.  What is an e-reader?  Why do I want one?  What can I do with it?  What advantages does it have over a “dead tree book?”  Should I buy a Kindle or a Nook?  Is a tablet or a dedicated e-reader a better choice?  She will also briefly touch upon how to use the library program Overdrive to download e-books; handouts for this service will be available.  Sarah will have several devices that attendees will be able to handle and examine.

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED, and space is limited.
