Collinsville Farmers Market Kicks Off 2014 Garden Party with Old Favorites and New Faces

Sunday, June 8th is Opening Day for 2014 Collinsville Farmers Market Season 

Canton, Conn. (April 20, 2014) – The Collinsville Farmers Market begins its 9th season on Sunday, June 8th from 10am-1pm and will run every Sunday until October 19th.  Located in the heart of historic Downtown Collinsville, the market features fresh produce from local farms as well as unique and delicious locally produced specialty items including artisan breads, jams, cheese, soaps, local wool, honey, maple syrup and much more.

New at this year’s market will be Syme Family Farm, offering fresh cut flowers, and Mohawk Bison with locally raised bison meat.  Also new this year, Hillhome Country Products and Giv Coffee will be joining us as full-season vendors.  These vendors will be joined by our popular full-season farms, which include Blue Moon, Butterfield, Hard Rain, Hastings, Gresczyk, Maple View, and Wild Carrot.  Lamothe’s Sugar House with their delicious maple products and Collinsville Baking Company with their artisan breads and sweet treats also will join us for the full season.

A variety of part-season vendors will participate as well.  Hayward Farm will be back for the second half of the season with their peaches and apples and Bittersweet Ridge will offer their woolen products, potted herbs, and handcrafted goat milk soaps during the spring and autumn weeks.  A number of guest vendors will join us as well, including Fresh Trak Foods with their homemade organic tortilla chips and fresh salsas and The Berry Patch with blueberries and raspberries.
