Submitted release

Cherry Brook Primary School and Canton Intermediate School are hard at work on their joint Annual Winter Festival Auction & Gala which will be held on March 2 at 41 Bridge St. in Collinsville, CT.

Local celebrity and Canton resident, Scot Haney will be Master of Ceremonies and will also conduct the Live Auction. The Village Café will be doing the food for the evening and the Cake Gypsy will be providing dessert. Cost to attend this event is $25 per person and tickets can be purchased online www.biddingforgood.com/cantonpto or you can mail a check made out to CIS PTO to Tracy Renaud, Winter Festival Auction, 4 Barbourtown Road, Canton, CT 06019.

Last year’s event raised over $31,000 and the proceeds from this event went to help support students in Grades Pre-K through Sixth. Previous Winter Festivals have allowed for purchases of ipads, smart boards, document cameras, sound systems, science labs and other productivity tools to enhance the children’s learning experience.

They anticipate that their profits from this year’s event will be used to provide classrooms with much needed supplies and equipment and to assist families with funding to allow their children to participate in school field trips and activities.

They do an online auction which allows donations to be featured for two weeks prior to the event to a large target audience. They are able to highlight an image of the donation with the company’s logo, and include a link to drive traffic to their website. If you are interested in donating, please contact Tracy Renaud at (860) 693-3720 or mail your donation to Tracy Renaud c/o Cherry Brook Primary School, 4 Barbourtown Road, Canton CT 06019. Any donation would be greatly appreciated.

The donation on the website range from a $10 build a bear gift card to a $6,000 Invisalign treatment from Rosenberg Orthodontics.  Some of the other items on the website include sports tickets to the Red Sox, Preseason Patriot tickets, Rangers tickets and a Travelers Championship package. Thanks to generous donations from local businesses around the Farmington Valley they also have a bike from Benidorm’s, summer camps, gym memberships, gift certificates to hair salons, local restaurants and even a complete orthodontic treatment from CT Top Dentist 2012 Kuhlberg Orthodontics.  There are over 500 items on the website and there is really something for everyone.

You don’t have to have children in the Canton schools or be from Canton to bid on valuable donations through to Feb. 28 at www.biddingforgood.com/cantonpto. You can pick up your donations at Bridge Street from 5 to 7 p.m. on March 2 or they can mail them to you.

The committee is also offering limited ad space on their website for $100. The ads will be displayed on their online auction home page and will be seen each time a bidder comes to the site and will include a link to drive traffic to the website.   If you are interested in advertising, please contact Marnie Hudnall at marniemerri@hotmail.com to discuss the details.
