The Rev. Sandra Moore Wanamaker Joins North Canton Community United Methodist Church

Congregation enjoys pastor's conversational style.

The Rev. Sandra Moore Wanamaker recently came to North Canton Community United Methodist Church.

Wanamaker practices a conversational style of delivering a sermon, bringing a stool down to the level of the congregation and talking to kids at their level, church members said.

Before becoming a pastor, Wanamaker served the church as a church musician for many years. She conducted choirs and played organ in Baptist, Lutheran, Reformed, and United Methodist churches. She also founded and conducted the Long Island West District Choir, founded and conducted the Long Island Women’s Chorale, and served as Interim Conductor of the Chorus of Communities in New Jersey.
