Teddy Bears and a Bunny
Collection Benefits Kids in Tough Situations, Easter Bunny Visits Mills Pond Recreation Area.
The Valley Collector Car Club hosted a "Teddy Bears for Tears” Saturday, April 16. During the event, area residents donated stuffed bears local emergency officials can give to children during traumatic situations and money for Heather’s Teddy Bear Organization Inc.
DISH 'n Dat Restaurant hosted the drive and car club members brought several classic vehicles to display in front of the restaurant, located at the Shoppes at Farmington Valley.
Among the many other weekend activities in town was a Parks and Recreation Department-sponsored Easter Egg Hunt, which included a visit from the Easter Bunny.
