Canton Schools to Debut Electronic Report Cards for Grades 7 to 12

If all goes well, practice could be expanded.

At the end of this marking period, middle and high school parents will receive their children's report cards electronically, school officials told the Board of Education Tuesday night.

Parents of 7th through 12th graders will receive a .pdf report via e-mail but the schools can print one out if parents could not access the electronic copy, officials said.

“In this age of technology we’re going to try this out and hopefully the feedback will be positive,” Superintendent Kevin Case said.

If all goes well, the district will discuss whether to expand the practice to other schools, Case added.
