Power Outages Possible as Strong Winds Move Into Canton

National Weather Service predicts wind gusts as high as 41 miles per hour.

Minor damage and strong winds are possible this afternoon and tonight as stronger winds move into the area, according to the National Weather Service

As a result of low pressure to the west, a cold front will pass through the area, preceded by the high winds, according to a National Weather Service wind advisory.

This afternoon southerly winds will be around 18 miles per hour, with gusts up to 33 miles per hour. Tonight, there is a chance of thunderstroms and patchy fog, with wind gusts as high "as 41 miles per hour," the forecast states.
