The gun was an older, .32 caliber, 5-shot revolver, Arciero said. Police have alerted other departments and are trying to find out who owns it and how it got to the park.

Arciero urges parents to vigilant and police also notified the Parks and Recreation Department so workers can keep and eye out for anything out of the ordinary. Officers will increase their presence in the area, Arciero added.
