Middle School Students Selected for Northern Region Music Festival

Event to take place March 1 and March 2.

Twenty Canton Middle School music students were chosen by audition to participate in the 2013 Connecticut Music Educators Associations Northern Region Music Festival. 

The Northern Region Middle School Music Festival is a two day festival made up of the finest Middle and Junior High School musicians in the Northern region of Connecticut.

Students chosen to participate in this Festival have the opportunity to meet other talented students of the same age from surrounding towns as well as be a part of a wonderful musical experience.

The Festival will take place at Har-Bur Middle School with rehearsals March 1 and 2, 2013 The Festival will conclude with a grand concert on the afternoon of March 2. The rehearsals and concert performance are under the direction of well known conductors from the New England area.

Students selected from Canton Middle School for the Festival Concert Chorus are: Katlyn Campbell, Hayden DiMaio, Jenna DiMartino, Brina Donovan, Jocelyn Rossitto and Dustin VanKirk. Selected for the Concert Band are: Drew Bidmead, Joseph Bowman, Bradley Connolly, Lillian Grabowski, Katherine Hynes, Katelyn Kosior, Grace Melrose, Evan Mingo, Noah O’Leary, Ethan Porter, Elizabeth Raynor and Drew Spero. Performing in the Orchestra are: Aime Freedenberg and Katie Napier.
