Over the years, the jamboree has become something many look forward to.

"It's a traditional town event," said Ryan Kerr, a volunteer firefighter, EMT and chairman of the jamboree.

Kerr said that while the weekend tends to be the busiest, Wednesday and Thursday nights are a great time to bring the kids down and enjoy quieter evenings and shorter lines.

The fireworks display has been a staple and this year the association is bringing back a parade for Saturday night. It will begin at 6 p.m. at Canton High School on Simonds Ave to Rte 179, to Rte 202, to the Jamboree Field on Powder Mill Road.

The jamboree field is at 91 Powder Mill Road right off of Route 202.
