Impacts of Developing Nor'Easter Uncertain

The storm is expected to hit Canton Wednesday morning and last through Thursday, but the exact strength — and snow amounts — remain unclear, according to the National Weather Service.

A nor'easter developing along the mid-Atlantic is forecast to hit our area Wednesday morning, but exactly how bad it will be is still up in the air. However, by Tuesday afternoon the predicted impact on Canton was minimal.

With the storm expected to intensify as it slowly tracks east, the National Weather Service today issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Northern Connecticut.

"Heavy snow may impact parts of Southern New England," the weather service said. "However, uncertainty remains high on snowfall amounts and location of rain-snow line. Snowfall may be heavy and wet, possibly resulting in power outages."
