Friday Afternoon Hike: Ray Smith Trail

One-and-a-half-mile trail offers moderate and varied terrain.

The Ray Smith Trail is a moderate, one-and-a-half-mile trail located at 144 Indian Hill Road. It is part of the Canton Land Conservation Trust's Mary Conklin Preserve, a 107-acre property named after its long-time owner and gifted to the trust in 1996.

The Ray Smith Trail is named for the former land trust president. His conservation legacy also lives on through the Ray Smith Endowment for Education and Conservation, which has funded several projects at the .
