Film Commission Hosts 2nd Annual Film Fete & Mixer

Event showcases movies filmed or edited in the Valley.

Approximately 125 people came out for the Farmington Valley Film Commission's 2nd Annual Film Fete & Mixer Friday night to enjoy the work of local producers and filmmakers.

Each of the pieces showcased films shot or edited in the Farmington Valley area. Selections ranged from a film about Martin Luther King Jr.'s time in Connecticut, which was produced by students at Simsbuty High School in collaboration with the Simsbury Free Library, to "A Connecticut Hot Dog Tour," which featured the audio skills of Jeff Frez-Albrecht of Canton.

At the beginning of the evening, Cassandra Kubinski entertained with her original music. The evening's emcee was Chion Wolf, photographer, musician and radio producer.
