Members of the Canton U14 Girls Travel Soccer squad joined members of the U14 Newtown Travel soccer girls travel team for the Sandy Hook Run for Families in Hartford Saturday.
Organized by parent Sheralyn Marsh, the team set up a "Canton Cares" fundraising effort and participated in the run.
"It thought it was a great chance to really explain to them what something like this would mean," Marsh said.
