Canton Social Services Accepting Donations for Freedom Drive Couple That Lost Home to Fire

Donations accepted at office or through mail.

Canton Senior and Social Services is working with the residents that were recently displaced by the devastating fire on Freedom Drive in Canton.  Donations will be accepted at the office (located at 40 Dyer Avenue, lower level) or through the mail. Monetary donations will be accepted, as well as gift cards and any and all offers of services will be noted and given to the couple. 

There are several ways people can help:

 1) Gifts in the form of “Food Gift Cards”, “Gas Gift Cards” or just a “Gift Card” of your choice

 2) Monetary gifts in the form of cash/check (all checks to be made payable to “Town of Canton” with 4 Freedom Drive Fire noted on the MEMO line)

 3) Send care package of misc. items of your choice (nothing perishable please).

 All gifts and/or donations are to be sent to:

  •  Collinsville, CT 06022

All gifts and/or donations will be logged with donations deposited into the Town of Canton’s checking account and in a timely manner they will cut a check to the couple on donors’ behalf. 

The department will also send them a print out of all logged items and donations. If anyone sends something anonymously it will be so noted.
