Canton Police: Three-Year-Old Pinned Under Front Tire Sunday
Child taken to medical center for "minor wounds."
A three-year-old child was injured after being hit by a car driven by a family member in the Valley Sports Center parking lot Sunday morning, police said.
The incident occurred at approximately 10 a.m. and the child was pinned under the front tire and removed by a witness to the accident, police said.
The child was alert but suffered minor head and upper-body wounds and was transported to Connecticut Children's Medical Center, Police said.

The accident remains under investigation but charges are not expected, police added. No further details were released.
