In addition to Friday traffic, Canton Mobil owner Joe Eisenberg said it had been a busy Thursday as well.

"We were flat out from morning to midnight," he said.

At Canton Citgo manager Tracey Wedge said that station had also been busy. A fuel supply truck was delivering 8,700 gallons of gas at the time and she said they had been low but never ran out.

Eisenberg said he had enough gas for the moment as well and had received two deliveries yesterday.

At noon, Canton Village Gulf was out of gas and hoping for a delivery.

Shortly after 10 a.m., members of the Canton volunteer Fire and EMS Department were on Cherry Brook Road for a possible chimney fire. Members also plan to "man" fire stations at 2 p.m. Friday and stay through to Saturday for storm response.

Thursday afternoon, police chief Christopher Arciero said his department was ready and Public Works Crews were also prepared, officials said.
