Seniors from Avon and Canton celebrated World Food Day Tuesday. Food was provided by Canton Chamber of Commerce members Portobello's, LaSalle Market and Deli, Village Cafe, Rice Fields, Feng and ShopRite.
Serving food were many volunteers from organizations like the Canton Chamber of Commerce, FOCUS on Canton, Cherry Brook Health Care Center, the Avon Senior Center and Canton Department of Senior and Social Services.
"We're really happy we're able to do these collaborative events together with Avon," said Canton senior and social services department head Claire Cote.

On Monday, Oct. 29, the Canton department will host a senior political pot luck lunch to give residents a chance to hear from various candidates running for office.
