This week baby snapping turtles hatched at Stepping Stones Educational Center.
Teacher said it was an extremely exciting time for the children, who helped catch the babies to ensure they made it to the swamp, and not onto Route 44. Teachers also brought a few inside before releasing them into the wetlands so the children could see them.
