The Canton Athletic Booster Club has donated more than $6,500 for several sports-related improvements at Canton High School. They include:
- $2,000 for a portable sound system
- $3,742.98 for 36 chairs with a carrying rack and protective covers for inside sporting events
- $800 for a weight scale and pull-up-bar
The Board of Education accepted the donations Tuesday night and chair Leslee Hill praised the booster club.
"The booster club has done a great job raising money for these items, which will make a difference for our athletes," Hill said.
