Decorating Your Home for the Holidays

Carrie Wilcox discusses “Festive and Easy Decoration for Your Home for the Holidays” at the Cherry Brook Garden Club of Canton meeting on Tuesday November 12 at 11AM. Carrie Wilcox is the owner of Carrie Wilcox Floral Design in Fairfield, CT.  Her love of flowers began at the age of 4 when her grandmother would ask her to pick flowers from the garden to use at dinner parties.  Since then, Carrie has been designing and decorating with flowers, and shares her knowledge of the floral work through teaching and speaking engagements. She has been a designer at several CT flower shops as well as at some of the most highly regarded floral and event studios.  In 2012, she earned the European Masters Certification after studying in Bruges, Belgium for a month, and is a candidate for the AIFD designation.  Carrie also enjoys competing in floral design competitions all over the East coast, most recently winning a second for her “Fascinator” at the 2013 Philadelphia Flower Show. She is currently writing a book on the fragrance of flowers.
