Town Youth Music Recording Project Gets Rockin'

Soft summer breezes floating down Colony Road might sound a little different - a little more musical - this summer. No it's not your imagination running wild. It is more than likely the sounds of local Canton youth musicians recording their music at Colony Road Studios in Canton.

Since late June, local youth musicians have been recording their music at Colony Road Studios as part of a recent Canton Youth Services Bureau project initiative. Through this project, town youth are encouraged to write, arrange and record their music, while learning about the recording process from Canton Intermediate School 6th grade teacher, Patrick Allen who is coordinating the project with Glenn Barger and the Canton Youth Services Bureau. The project is funded by a grant awarded by the Canton Education Foundation.

So far, a variety of performers have come to record their music which has ranged from rock to acoustic to rap.
