Local Businesses Contend for Small Business Grant

Local businesses are hoping to get the 250 votes they need for a chance at a $250,000 small business grant.

The deadline is quickly approaching for several Canton small business owners who are hoping for a chance to receive a generous small business grant from the Mission: Small Business program. All they need to make it to the next step is your vote.

Chase and Living Social have teamed up to award 12 individual $250,000 grants to qualifying business owners across the country. 

Each applicant must receive 250 unique Facebook votes from their supporters to qualify for the application review.

The deadline for community voting is Saturday, June 30 at 11:59 p.m. Voters are permitted to vote for all the businesses but can only cast one vote for each. Once the qualifying applications are reviewed, the winners of the 12 grants will be announced by September 15, 2012.
