Live Every Day Opens in Simsbury

New flagship location in Simsbury brings physical therapy and prosthetic services to the Farmington Valley.

When brothers Matthew and Anthony Calendrillo were on a hike in the Adirondacks, they decided it was time to venture out on their own in the business world.

The Calendrillo brothers have been busy since they took that hike nearly five years ago establishing themselves in the physical therapy, orthotic, and prosthetic services industry. Live Every Day recently opened its flagship location at 138 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury's south end.

"We are excited to be setting roots in Simsbury. I hope we become an integral part in promoting the physical health of the folks that live here," Business Manager Anthony Calendrillo said.

Live Every Day has been operating as a part-time venture at the Calendrillo's first location at 68 Bridge Street in Suffield.

Matthew Calendrillo, Clinical Manager for Live Every Day, said business had grown to the point where the pair felt ready to make the leap and take the business full-time.

Matthew left his job as a physical therapist at Enfield Physical Therapy where he worked for five years. Anthony left his finance job with Northrup Gruman and hasn't looked back. While the leap has been rewarding, both brothers agree it hasn't been easy.

"I remember I used to sleep a lot more," Anthony said.

Live Every Day provides physical therapy services to people suffering from chronic pain, acute injuries, congenital dysfunction, post operative issues, and limb loss.

While the Calendrillo's will continue to service patients at their Suffield office on Tuesdays and Thursdays by appointment, they plan to make Simsbury their main office.

After a long search, they chose the 138 Hopmeadow Street location because of its visibility and convenient access to residents of Simsbury and the surrounding communities. The Calendrillo's also aim to fill a void that exists in the Farmington Valley for this type of service.

"We believe there is a desire for community based healthcare where personal interactions between medical providers and patients can exist," a shared mission statement said.

Live Every Day is open by appointment only Monday—Friday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. For more information about the services provided or to schedule an appointment visit the Live Every Day website.

Knowing Matt from my first clinical experience, I am excited to see him take part in something big! With a great personality and being a great clinician, Matt will take this new business far with the help of his brother! Good luck to the Callendrillo brothers! Can't wait to see the new place!

Congrats to Dr. Calendrillo! As one of his patients, I can say that his approach is all about us, his patients, and not about him. No fuss, no muss, no attitude. As a plus, I like his new location in Simsbury. It's all new, easy to get to and access, and I can ltreat myself to a Dunkin's on the other side of his parking lot when my therapy is over!.
