Hair Gallery Plans Collinsville Location

The owners of The Hair Gallery at the Mill in Tariffville plan to open a downtown Collinsville location, according to a local building owner.

The owners of 10 Front St. have filed an application for building renovations and a certificate of zoning compliance for the lower floor of the building, commonly referred to as 101 Main St.

Building owner Steven Stang said the "classy" Tariffville salon does very well. He feels it will also be successful in the village and draw customers from surrounding towns.

"Collinsville is a perfect fit," he said.

This week Stang's company, G.S.H.P., LLC, applied for a building permit for interior renovations at the lower floor space. On Friday, land-use office personnel said the application is under review by officials. GSHP has also applied for a certificate of zoning compliance, which is also under review.

Stang said there is no specific opening date for the new location. According to the Hair Gallery's web site it will be called Hair Gallery at the Mill of Collinsville.

The most recent occupant of the space was The Flea Circus, run by three siblings as a temporary business.
