Farmington Valley Company Brings World's No. 2 Rum to U.S.

Avon firm brings Tanduay Asian Rum to the U.S. and Connecticut.

The world’s second most popular rum has made its debut in the United States and now in Connecticut, courtesy of Avon’s Brand Action Team.

According to a release from the company, Tanduay Asian Rum was established in 1854 but first sold in the United States in July, when it released Tanduay Silver Asian Rum and Gold Asian Rum in Florida. Made in the Philippines, the brand expanded to Connecticut in August.

Tanduay Silver has hints of coconut and custard; Gold is a blend of rums with flavors of vanilla and tropical fruits. 

Brand Action Team will be offering tastings in bars, restaurants, and package stores and large music events. The rums will retail for $19.99.
