CrossFit Legitimus owners Brian Smith, Mark Izzo, and Jen Conlin welcome the public for an open house from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday.
Featured will be a team workout that does not require sign-up but rather is a scrambles event. Your team will be chosen for you when you show up. Working out is not mandatory.
A barbecue will follow the workout. Details on the Workout of the Day, which begins at 12:30 p.m. will be announced.
CrossFit training “combines weightlifting, sprinting and gymnastics.”
Smith said the regimen is for men and women, even teens, of all abilities, and that workouts are “timed and goal-oriented,” with each participant working at his or her particular fitness level.
Brian Smith and Mark Izzo live in Canton and have been involved in CrossFit for almost two years. The two friends work together and Brian turned Mark onto Crossfit when Brian came across CrossFit while working in Watertown. Brain and Mark both meet Jen through CrossFit when she began coaching the two men.
From there a friendship started and the three eventually formed a partnership and decided to open the Canton studio.
CrossFit Legitimus is located on 130 Dowd Ave. in Canton.
