The Canton Chamber of Commerce held its Annual Kick-off meeting at the Monday night. The event included information about upcoming chamber events, members-only insurance programs and a raffle to benefit a Canton High School scholarship fund. In addition free food and drinks were offered courtesy of Cafe Louise, , , , , , LaTrattoria and Bahre's Package Store.
Attendees raised $320 through the raffle, which supports the Chamber's Canton High School Scholarship fund. Each June the organization awards at least one scholarship to a CHS Senior planning to pursue a college degree in business or an entrepreneurial endeavor.
The event was co-chaired by Marge Harmon of Harmon Travel and Mary Vincent of Vincent Funeral Homes, Inc.
On Feb. 2 the Chamber will host a "Transform Your Business Results for Long-Term Success" luncheon at Valley Sports Center with Pete Winiarski, President of Win Enterprises, LLC. Cost is $7. For more information on it and other upcoming events log on to http://www.cantonchamberofcommerce.com.
