West Point Band’s Jazz Knights, to Perform 'A Concert Celebrating Canton'

Event is free but tickets are required.

Canton Parents for Music and the Canton Public Schools Music Department will host the 2nd Canton Celebrates Concert featuring the Jazz Knights of the United States Military Academy Band. The concert takes place at Canton High School on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, 7:30 pm.  The free show is open to the public and will celebrate the Canton Public Schools music program being named a “Best Community for Music Education” in the U.S. for the third year in a row. 

The Jazz Knights is the professional jazz ensemble for the United States Army stationed at West Point and features some of the finest jazz musicians in the world. Its members have been recruited from many of the country’s most prestigious music schools for service in the United States Military Academy Band at West Point. In addition, the award-winning Canton High School Jazz Ensemble will perform prior to the Jazz Knights at 7:00 p.m.

The show takes place in the Canton High School Auditorium, 76 Simonds Ave. Admission is FREE, but tickets will be required. Tickets can be obtained in advance in the Canton High School Main Office weekdays, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. beginning Sept. 3.
