Cheers to a night out for two great causes!
Come raise your glass on November 17 at the Old Avon Village Marketplace and join friends of the Avon Nursery School for a fun evening of wine tasting. Local shop Welcome Wine and Liquor will provide a variety of wines for tasting, including special suggestions for your Thanksgiving feast. Enjoy fruit and cheese platters and bid on tea cup auction gift baskets donated by local residents and businesses. Wines will be available for purchase at a discounted price from Welcome Wine and Liquor, conveniently located next door to the event.
Tickets are $25, and proceeds will benefit both Avon Nursery School and the American Red Cross Hurricane Sandy Relief. Purchase tickets directly from the school or at the Avon Congregational Church office, on the corner of routes 44 and 10 at 6 West Main Street in Avon.
Wine tastings begin at 7 p.m. in the furniture store building of the historic Old Avon Village located at 41 East Main Street in Avon.
