The McLovins, a local rock-jam trio, played the Parks and Recreation Department-sponsored Mills Pond Park Summer Concert Series Thursday, Aug. 4.

The band consists of drummer Jake Huffman of Granby, bassist Jason Ott of Simsbury, and guitarist Jeff Howard of Canton. Find out more about the band at their web site or on their facebook page.

The concert was the final one for the season at the park but next week on Thursday, Aug. 11, the department is sponsoring a Trail Buskers Event, with live music along the rail trail in Canton from 4 to 8 p.m. More details will follow.
