Jazz Band Kicks Off Summer Concert Series

Next Week features musicians from DownRight Music and Art.

The Jerrod Cattey Jazz Quartet, featuring the vocals of Orly Terkasher, kicked off the Canton Parks and Recreation Department's Summer Concert Series at Mills Pond Park Thursday. 

Concerts run from 6:30-8 p.m. and are free to the public. In case of rain, shows will be moved to the Town Hall Auditorium.

July 19 - The DownRight Music Band

A family favorite last summer, DownRight returns with their revolving cast of music instructors and and students and their hula hoops for a great time.

July 26 - Lucy Kaplanski
Called the "troubadour laureate of modern city folk" by The Boston Globe, Canton is very lucky to have this national artist come play a special solo performance. Come early for parking! Lucy will draw a crowd from the corners of New England.

Aug. 2 - Farmington Valley Band
A valley tradition, the FVB has played in Canton every year for over 40 years. Traditional Big-Band and Orchestra.

Aug. 9 - WRBA/ WEISS Featuring Jeff Howard
A youthful band with some of the best rock musicians Canton has produced. This band covers all kinds of ground from rock, jazz, improv and more. 

Aug. 16 - Fat Dog
From the vintage years of rock and roll, late 60's, comes Fat Dog. Sure to be a good time, Fat Dog will take us back to the golden era of rock with Blues and Rock covers and originals.
