The Canton High School Ukulele Club was launched this school year by four ukulele geeks.  The four students, already musicians, discovered they had a common interest in the ukulele.  They all played the ukulele separately and decided they would all play together, so they began meeting every Wednesday.  The library concert will be the group’s debut.

The four young men are John Cahill, Zachary Wiles, and Gabriel Speigel, all recent graduates, and Ralph Holley, the lone junior.  Holley knows he needs to begin recruiting to keep the club going now that his three collaborators have graduated.

The event, which is sure to be a family favorite for geeks and non-geeks alike, is free.  No registration is required.  Canton Public Library is at 40 Dyer Avenue, Canton.  For information:  (860) 693-5800 or www.cantonpubliclibrary.org
