It may seem as though the Internet works at cross purposes with books, but they may, in fact, support one another.  Sarah McCusker, head of Technology Services at Canton Public Library will introduce some of the websites and products of particular interest to booklovers, such as NoveList, the library’s database devoted to books, and the social networking site Goodreads.

Following the lecture/demonstration, seniors may have a chance to try their hand using the new mobile computer lab.  The lab was purchased and set up using a technology grant from The Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED, and space is limited. Canton Public Library is at 40 Dyer Avenue, Canton.  For information:  (860) 693-5800 or www.cantonpubliclibrary.org
