On Saturday, March 10th the 18th annual Sweetheart Dance will be held at the Canton Intermediate School. This much anticipated dance is for girls in Kindergarten through grade six, accompanied by their fathers, grandfathers or other special male adult. It is a time where younger girls get the chance to dress up and go out for a magical evening with their special escort, and can dance, play games and have a wonderful time seeing all of their friends. Events at the dance include a photograph of the couple, face painting, crafts, dancing, the option to play games, shop at a sweetheart boutique and enjoy free pizza, punch and snacks. Of course, according to the Canton girl scouts who are hosting this event, the most memorable part of going to these dances year after year, has been the special time you get to spend with your father. "Dancing with your friends is fun, but dancing with your dad is the best memory you will ever have". This is the overwhelming comment by past attendees, and what a wonderful memory to have!
Tickets are available in advance and will also be sold at the door.
