Collinsville Jamboree 2014: Your Guide to the Festivities

What are you looking forward to seeing and experiencing the most, at the Collinsville Jamboree?

There’s something for everyone at the 48th annual Collinsville Jamboree. If it’s fireworks you like, the Collinsville Volunteer Fire Department’s got you covered!

Or maybe it’s fair food that strikes your fancy. How about rides? Games? Or is it the wine and beer garden that’s calling your name? Or perhaps it’s the Firefighters Parade — Sylvia Cancela tell us it’s back by popular demand!

The days are greater warmer and what better way to kick off summer than with a fair? Here’s all you need to know about the Collinsville Jamboree!

Dates: 6 to 10 p.m. Wednesday, May 14 through Saturday, May 17

Location: Jamboree Field, 91 Powder Mill Rd., Collinsville

Fireworks: Friday, May 16

Firefighters Parade: Starts at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 17, at Canton High School. Route: Canton High School to Simonds Avenue to Route 179 to Route 202 to the Jamboree Field

Cost: Bracelet Nights are $22 each night; carnival rides may be enjoyed from 6 to 10 p.m.

The Collinsville Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. is a not for profit, independent, social and philanthropic association. CVFD is comprised of both active and retired firefighters whose main charge is to support the work of the Town of Canton Volunteer Fire & EMS Department, because they know and never forget why volunteer firefighters and EMTs do what they do, Cancela stated via email.
