Yoga Center of Collinsville Mourns Losses, Honors Memories

Donations on Monday and Wednesday to benefit Prashanthi Trust

Following is a message from Yoga Center of Collinsville. Our thoughts and prayers go to friends and family.

Shortly after receiving the sad news about the death of student Beth King, we got word of the passing of Jatin Desai, husband of YCC Yoga and Meditation teacher Anjali Desai, while traveling on business. Jatin was a kind and loving husband and father, businessman, and philanthropist.  His loss ripples throughout the many lives he touched.

The YCC community gather to honor Jatin's memory with a Yoga and Meditation class Monday and will do so again Wednesday at 6 p.m. These classes will be free. Cash/check donations will be accepted to benefit Prashanthi Trust, a charity dedicated to improving the world through education and service. Jatin supported the Trust's work in his lifetime, and it is our privilege to honor his memory by supporting it now.

Sign up here or donate by mailing or dropping off an offering at the studio between any class time.

We are planning a memorial class for Beth later in December, when we hope that her family will be able to join us.

The ancient Roman Cicero wrote, Friendship improves happiness and abates misery, by the doubling of our joy and the dividing of our grief. We share the grief of our friends who are suffering, and we hold them in our hearts and minds.

Namaste,

Shawn and Ela
