Holiday fun is offered on and off the slopes, and Ski Sundown is kicking off the season with multiple fun events:
Hit the terrain parks December 22-24 with pro freestyle skier, Luke “Lupe” Hagearty of Team Nordica. Luke is a West Hartford native who grew up skiing and honing his incredible skills at Ski Sundown. He’ll be doing sessions in the terrain parks and having fun with the freestylers from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm each afternoon followed by photos and prize toss-outs from Nordica, Orage, Shred Optics, The Studio clothing, and Suburban Sports.
Demo Day with Suburban Sports will be held on Sunday, December 28 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Test equipment from Rossignol, Head, Dynastar, Kastle, Smith Optics and more, and “try before you buy!”
The fun continues into the evening on December 28th with live music in The Last Chair Tavern as Sundown hosts The Ratlum Mtn. Boys band from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Homegrown in Canton, brothers Sean and Colin McAlindin and Anthony Daniels will bring their unique “folkgrass” to the mountain for a holiday hoedown! These accomplished musicians perform in Northern California, and metropolitan New York respectively and Sundown is excited to welcome them back home. There is no cover charge, and drink and appetizer specials will be featured.
On New Year’s Eve you can ski and snowboard until Midnight and enjoy a torchlight parade by Ski Sundown’s Ski Patrol, as well as food and drink specials. Ring in the New Year with Ski Sundown!
