A Service of Evening Prayer for Healing

Jesus and the early Christian community prayed for the sick and laid hands on them when they prayed.  Chrisitan healing is about wholeness.  Sickness is not limited to physical inability.  A service of prayer for healing gives an opportunity to pray for individuals or communities who are in need and also for those present to share in and receive the ministry of layin on of hads.  Praying for healing is in no way recjection of the work of medicine.  It isn't an alternative, but a complement to other forms of healing.  It recognizes that healing comes in many ways and is concerned with wholeness, not simply with cure.
