Despite a Little Rain, Sam Collins Day a Success

Despite a little afternoon rain, organizers deemed Sam Collins Day a success Saturday.

Crowds came to the field on Canton Springs Road to learn more about local businesses and community organizations, sample food from local restaurants, enjoy live entertainment, bounce on inflatables, view the work of some of Connecticut's best crafters and more.

Activities were also held in downtown Collinsville.

Event chair Mary Tomolonius said the committee has some exciting things in store for the 20th annual Sam Collins Day next September.

"It's going to be bigger and better — an event not to miss," she said.
