Collinsville Savings Society Donates $10,000 to Canton Historical Museum

For the third year, Collinsville Savings has donated $10,000 to the Canton Historical Museum's Building Fund.

Over the past several years, the museum has worked hard to improve the building, especially by making it more accessible. Recent changes include a new handicapped accessible, vestibuled entrance. Other planned changes include accessible restrooms and eventually an elevator. The museum eventually hopes to open a visitor's center.

Collinsville Savings has made a five-year commitment —  $50,000 in all — to the improvement effort.

"We look at this building as the hub of Collinsville," said Gary Roma, President and CEO at Collinsville Savings.

"We extend our sincere appreciation for their support," said Don Scott, president of the Canton Historical Society.
