State Rep. Tim LeGeyt Rolling Up Sleeves to 'Help Bag Hunger'

CANTON- State Rep. Tim LeGeyt (R-17) plans to join Joseph Family Markets in the fight against hunger on Monday, September 16th.  From noon to 1pm, Rep. LeGeyt will be rolling up his sleeves and participating in ‘Help Bag Hunger Day’ at the ShopRite located in the Shoppes at Farmington Valley, Canton.

“There is always more to do in the battle against hunger.  Lack of proper food is one of the most difficult shortcomings that people suffer, and this opportunity to help remediate the hunger that “Help Bag Hunger Day” actively addresses is a privilege for me.  I’m pleased to join the Joseph Family Markets in this campaign,” said Rep. LeGeyt.

Joseph Family Markets runs the "Help Bag Hunger" event as part of National Hunger Action Month.  Joseph Family Markets and the ShopRites of Canton and West Hartford are dedicated to fighting hunger and supporting youth programs in the communities they serve.

"As a local business, we do everything we can all year long to help fight hunger in our communities. Help Bag Hunger Day is an important event that brings greater visibility to the cause and helps raise funds to feed our neighbors in need. We are thrilled that Representative LeGeyt will be joining us in our efforts and truly appreciate his support," said Chuck Joseph, President of Joseph Family Markets.

“Help Bag Hunger” is part of the ShopRite Partners' year-round In Caring Program, which has provided more than $27 million to homeless and hunger relief and other charitable agencies since it was launched in 1999, according to the company website.

The mission of Joseph Family Markets is to positively impact its associates, customers and community while upholding its core values of integrity, self-realization, family, service, enjoyment and sustainability.

Since 2010, the company has generously provided more than $300,000 in financial support and product donations.

The ShopRites of Canton and West Hartford are owned and operated by Joseph Family Markets, a locally-owned business founded in 2010 by Chuck and Debbie Joseph.
