Peter M. Bakker Agency Donates $335 to FOCUS Center for Autism

The employees at the New Hartford branch of Peter M. Bakker Agency, Inc. were a lot more relaxed on Fridays in April. In honor of Autism Awareness Month, employees were permitted to wear blue jeans every Friday if they made a donation to an Autism charity. On May 16, Peter M. Bakker Agency, Inc., chose FOCUS Center for Autism to receive the donated funds. They raised a total of $335!

Employee Lynn Quinn was instrumental in choosing FOCUS to receive the donated funds, as she is a former employee of their Therapeutic Group Home. Executive Director Donna Swanson describes Quinn as a dedicated and talented employee, who truly cared about the clients in the Therapeutic Group Home. The Therapeutic Group Home, funded by the Department of Children and Families, serves boys aged 14-21 with Autism Spectrum Disorders and histories of trauma.
