Canton - On Friday, May 30th, 2014 the grounds of Cherry Brook Primary School (4 Barbourtown Rd.) will be alive with the sounds of children and families as they host their Annual Children’s Fair.
According to Cherry Brook Primary Principal Andy Robbin, “The Children’s Fair is one of our highlights of the school year. It’s a wonderful evening where the whole community gathers to enjoy games and family fun.”
Last year’s big hit, the dunk tank will return again this year. Fairgoers will have the chance to dunk teachers and administration who do their part to support the Cherry Brook PTO by taking a turn in the booth.
Principal Andy Robbin will once again liven up the festivities with his band, The Substitutes. They will be playing outside this year so that all can enjoy their music while eating and participating in fair activities.
Old favorites such as the Cake Walk, face painting, bounce houses, basket raffle and the Chain Biter bike race will also be returning.
Hot dogs and hamburgers hot off the grill, drinks and new this year make your own sundae will all be available for purchase. Maui Wowi will join the fair for great tasting smoothies. Outdoor seating will also be available.
Robbin continued, “The success of the event is a reflection of the commitment that Canton has for it’s children. So many families volunteer and make sure the event is a positive memory for the kids.”
The Cherry Brook Primary Children’s Fair will run from 4:00 pm- 8:00 pm, and is open to the public. Admission and parking are free. Tickets are required for the games and activities and will be available for purchase at the entrance. Wristbands will be available for unlimited games (dunk booth is a separate fee). Only cash will be accepted for food. All fair proceeds will benefit the Cherry Brook Primary School PTO.
